REIKI

What is Reiki?

Reiki energy is a powerful, high vibrational energy, which contrasts with illness and dis-ease which are lower vibrational energies. Reiki was used by ancient Tibetan Lamas and Buddhist monks for self improvement and re-discovered in the 1800’s by Japanese scholar Dr Mikao Usui. ‘Rei’ means ‘universal’ and is the higher intelligence or higher spiritual consciousness that guides the creation and function of the universe. ‘Ki’ means ‘life force’ and is the energy that flows through every living thing. Reiki is now becoming more and more welcome within the NHS.

Reiki goes wherever it is needed first, which may be physical, mental, emotional or spiritual. Reiki is non-invasive, gentle yet powerful and can be used alongside orthodox health care. It is not an alternative to conventional medicine however, you should always consult your GP about acute or infectious conditions and with problems of an urgent nature.

A human treatment will take approximately 45 mins. A reiki session with an animal will be led by the animals preference, hands on or off, nearby or by distance. Animals are sensitive to the energy and generally find it relaxing and comforting as humans do.
